On Jun 1 2007 the Foundation has launched Scheherazade campaign fundraising for the renovation of Mary Hospital Sklodovska Curie International Day of the Child, in a formal ceremony held in the hospital courtyard, in this copiiloraflati in treatment at this hospital. The event was attended by numerous personalities from political life, social and economic situation in Romania, as well as many leading officials in the Prime Minister, Minister of Health, many ambassadors including: Ambassador of Great Britain, the Netherlands Ambassador, Ambassador of Malaysia, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru Ambassador of Indonesia, Ambassador of the United Nations in Bucharest, representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF, Save the Children along with children from School Tonitza, the Motivation Foundation, Special Olimpics Foundation, The Children in Difficulty.
“The success really comes when you share ideas, aspirations, beliefs and problems”, said Wajiha Haris, president of the Scheherazade Foundation.
The first phase was already started and the action consists of the renovation of the Department of Surgery Hospital, Third floor. The total value of the works needed renovation this section shall amount to 400 000 Euros.

La festivitate au participat numeroase personalitati din viata politica, sociala si economica din Romania, precum si numeroase oficialitati in frunte cu Primul Ministru, Ministrul Sanatatii, numerosi ambasadori acredidati in Romania printre care: Ambasadorul Marii Britanii, Ambasadorul Olandei, Ambasadorul Malaeziei, Ambasadorul Republicii Peru, Ambasadorul Indoneziei, Ambasadorul Natiunilor Unite la Bucuresti, reprezentanti ai Inaltului Comisariat al Natiunilor Unite pentru Refugiati (UNHCR), UNICEF, Salvati Copiii alaturi de copii de la Liceul Tonitza, de la Fundatia Motivation, Fundatia Special Olimpics, Fundatia Copiii in Dificultate.
“Succesul adevarat vine atunci cand se impartasesc idei, aspiratii, convingeri si probleme” a declarat Wajiha Haris, Presedintele Fundatiei Scheherazade.
Prima etapa a fost deja demarata si consta in actiunea de renovare a Sectiei de Chirurgie a spitalului situata la etajul III. Valoarea totala a lucrarilor necesare renovarii acestei sectii se ridica la suma de 400 000 de Euro.
Compania Colgate a donat suma de 100.000 EUR ceea ce inseamna ca un sfert din lucrarile destinate acestei sectii se vor efectua gratie contributiei companiei Colgate.
